Selection Probability (SP)
SP(e) — The probability that entity e is selected or recommended by AI systems under specified conditions.
Description
Selection Probability measures the likelihood that an entity enters AI consideration sets and is recommended to users. SP depends on representation quality, computational eligibility, and AI system selection logic. SP is the base metric for Advertising Marginal Influence, comparing selection probabilities with and without advertising exposure.

Selection Readiness
The degree to which an entity has the attributes, trust signals, and representation completeness required for AI-mediated selection and recommendation.
Computational Selection (CS)
CS(e) — The process by which AI systems evaluate and select assets for inclusion in consideration sets, independent of human browsing or clicking.
Advertising Marginal Influence (AMI)
AMI(e) = SP_A(e) - SP_0(e) — The difference in selection probability between advertising exposure and no-exposure conditions, measuring advertising marginal effect on AI-mediated selection.
