Description
Advertising Marginal Influence quantifies the causal effect of advertising exposure on AI-mediated selection probability. AMI compares selection probability with advertising exposure (SP_A) against selection probability without exposure (SP_0). Positive AMI indicates advertising increases selection likelihood. Zero or negative AMI indicates persuasion compression—advertising has no effect or reduces selection relative to baseline. AMI requires controlled experiments with AI recommendation control (ARC) to isolate advertising effect from AI system behavior.
